We work directly with homeowners — on land you already own, or land we help you evaluate — to build homes and additions that fit the site, the budget, and the way you actually live.
As an owner-operated builder, there's no layer between the person who prices your project and the person who's on-site running it. Just a direct line to the builder, from your first phone call to the final walkthrough.
ABOUT
Luis Hernandez is the founder and CEO of BK Builds Construction — and the one who walks the land, prices the job, and shows up on-site, not a rotating cast of project managers. He's currently completing his North Carolina Residential General Contractor license.
Before construction, Luis spent his career in finance and consulting — starting in banking in Charlotte, then spending the majority of his career in consulting at a large public accounting firm. That background shaped how he views and manages a business: rigorous, detail-driven, and built on real numbers instead of guesswork.
Luis is from a small town in Colombia. His parents made the journey to America so he could have opportunities they never had — a sacrifice that still shapes how he runs BK Builds today. Denver, NC is home now, where he's built a life and a family of his own, and where he's building homes for other families in the community that gave his one a future.
